We are absolutely thrilled to host the premier event in the Plant Nutrition field—the International Plant Nutrition Colloquium (IPNC)! On behalf of the council members and the local organizing committee, I warmly invite you to attend the XX International Plant Nutrition Colloquium, which will take place at the Alfândega Porto Congress Centre in the breathtaking city of Porto, Portugal, from July 22 to 25, 2025.
As our global population continues to rise rapidly, so does the urgent demand for food production with enhanced nutritional quality. More than ever, plant-based foods are in the limelight and on the agenda of more sustainable agrifood systems. Plant nutrition research is critical in addressing sustainability challenges on regional and global scales while contributing to human health.
The 20th IPNC will center on "Cultivating Resilience: Plant Nutrition for Food, Feed, and Health." We will delve into key research areas such as nutrient uptake, transport and homeostasis, innovative technologies for nutrient management, the impact of plant nutrients on human health, and the effects of climate change on plant nutrition.
This colloquium welcomes students, agronomists, nutritionists, researchers, industry members, policy makers, and scientists from public and private sectors involved in plant and human nutrition, fertilizer production, plant biology, genetics, agronomy, horticulture, ecology, environmental sciences, and related disciplines. It's an exceptional opportunity for discussions, knowledge exchange, and fostering both new and existing collaborations.
