Ciro A. Rosolem

Graduated in Agronomy in 1973. Earned an MSc in 1978 and a PhD in Agronomy (Soils and Plant Nutrition) in 1979 from the University of São Paulo. Visiting Scientist at the University of California, Davis, in 1984/85. He was a founder, Director, and CEO of the Foundation for Agricultural and Forestry Studies and Research in Botucatu, and Director of the Meteorological Research Institute at the São Paulo State University. Acted as a coordinator of the agricultural area of the São Paulo State Research Support Foundation (FAPESP). Recognized as Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma. Professor at the São Paulo State University from 1975 to 2024, and Emeritus Professor at the São Paulo Western University from 2024. He was vice-president of the Brazilian Soil Science Society, and now is VP of the Scientific Council for Sustainable Agriculture. Experienced in annual crops, with an emphasis on plant nutrition, soil fertility, applied physiology, root growth, agricultural production systems, crop rotation, and nutrient cycling in tropical cropping systems.
