On July 22, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., the Alfândega Porto Congress Centre will host the RARE FOOD FAIR, the final event of the European project RADIANT (https://www.radiantproject.eu/), coordinated by the Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto Regional Centre (UCP).

The 20th International Plant Nutrition Colloquium (IPNC) will take place from July 22 to 25, 2025, at the Alfândega Porto Congress Centre in Porto, Portugal. This prestigious event, a key gathering in the field of plant nutrition, is organized by Marta Vasconcelos, an Auxiliary Professor at the Faculty of Biotechnology (ESB), a member of the Board of Directors of ESB, and a researcher at the Centre for Biotechnology and Fine Chemistry (CBQF).

Within the IPNC, it will also occur the RARE Food Fair will be an impactful, market-oriented event designed to promote traditional and cultural heritage using Underutilised Crops (UCs), traditional varieties, and landraces that are linked to tourism, short-value chains, sustainability, organic farming, and other goods of local and regional identity. The aim is to actively involve the public and other stakeholders throughout the agri-food system in this open/free event. This will maximize the adoption of new and superior products that tell a story.

With the theme "Cultivating Resilience: Plant Nutrition for Food, Feed, and Health", the colloquium will address crucial research areas, including nutrient uptake, transport and homeostasis, innovative technologies for nutrient management, plant nutrients’ impact on human health, and climate change effects on plant nutrition. The event will bring together students, agronomists, nutritionists, researchers, industry members, policymakers, and scientists from public and private sectors involved in plant and human nutrition, fertilizer production, plant biology, genetics, agronomy, horticulture, ecology, and environmental sciences.

De 22 a 25 de julho de 2025, no Centro de Congressos da Alfândega do Porto, decorrerá o XX Colóquio Internacional de Nutrição Vegetal (IPNC), organizado pela Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
