Diego Rubiales

Full Professor at the Institute for Sustainable Agriculture, CSIC, at Córdoba, Spain, with research interest in legume and cereal breeding for resistance to stresses. Extensive experience in participation and coordination of research both at EU and International level.  In addition to an extensive publication list (h=62, 37 PhDs supervised) , emphasis is put on applied aspects such as cultivar development (21 patents) and stake holder engagement. Like this, is current President of the Spanish Legume Society (AEL) and Coordinator of the Spanish Legume Network (RELEG) and has been President of the International Legume Society (currently Secretary and Treasurer), President of the European Association of Grain Legumes Research and member of the Executive Committee of the Int. Parasitic Plant Society.
