Georgia Ntatsi

Georgia Ntatsi is Associate Professor at the Laboratory of Vegetable Production at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA) and, since 2024, the CEO of NUTRISENSE, an AUA spin-off company promoting sustainable and economically viable fertilization practices in horticulture. Her research focuses on i) optimizing hydroponic and controlled-environment agriculture for enhanced crop quality and yield, ii) plant nutrition strategies, including nutrient uptake and fertilizer efficiency in vegetables, iii) vegetable grafting techniques to improve stress resilience and disease resistance, and iv) mitigating agricultural environmental impacts through reduced greenhouse gas emissions and biostimulant applications. She also investigates biological nitrogen fixation in legumes to minimize synthetic fertilizer use. With over 100 peer-reviewed publications and active participation as principal investigator of national and EU-funded projects, aims to bridge research and practical applications, empowering growers to adopt innovative, sustainable solutions for modern agriculture.
