Katja Hora

Dr. Katja Hora graduated from Wageningen University, the Netherlands and has a PhD from the University of Amsterdam. She is research manager in SQM’s global development team. Her objective is development of specialty plant nutrition, combining the best sources of water-soluble macro- and micronutrients for maximum crop yield and quality. Translation of academic knowledge to practical advice for farmers is an important element of responsible fertilizer use. It serves to optimise nutrient use efficiency while maintaining yield and quality. She is the co-author of the manual “Nutrient solutions for greenhouse crops”, and of publications on iodine in plant nutrition.
